Royal Jordanian Delays Planned Boeing 787 Service to Sep 2014

Update at 0820GMT 02JUN14



Based on week of 28MAY14 schedule update, Royal Jordanian further delays planned introduction of Boeing 787 operation. Tentatively, inaugural flight is now pushed back to 01SEP14, although it is possible there may be few one-off service that are not noticed by Airline Route, prior to this new date.


Revised Boeing 787 operation as follow:

eff 01SEP14 Amman – London Heathrow Daily Boeing 787 operation until 29SEP14 (Previously effective 01AUG14)

eff 01OCT14 Amman – Jeddah Boeing 787 operation begins from this date, instead of 03AUG14. Operational frequency varies


Planned Boeing 787 operation to following destinations unaffected by latest adjustment:

eff 30SEP14 Amman – New York JFK 4 weekly

eff 01OCT14 Amman – Chicago 6 weekly

eff 01OCT14 Amman – Dubai 1 weekly

eff 01OCT14 Amman – Madinah Frequency varies

eff 02OCT14 Amman – Montreal – Detroit 2 weekly

eff 03OCT14 Amman – Kuwait City 1 weekly

eff 04OCT14 Amman – Abu Dhabi 1 weekly

eff 04OCT14 Amman – Sana’a 1 weekly

eff 22OCT14 Amman – Dammam 1 weekly


Planned Boeing 787 operation in September 2014 only, will no longer be in effect:

Amman – Bangkok – Hong Kong 3 weekly

Amman – Bangkok – Kuala Lumpur 4 weekly


Planned Boeing 787 service remains subject to change.
