NEWS British Airways has announced to start A380 service on London Heathrow - Washington Dulles route in early October
The British carrier will serve this route with this superjumbo aircraft five times a week from October 2 until October 25. A B747 will serve the route on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during that period. British Airways’ flights BA216 and BA217 will run daily on this route from October 26. However no services will be available on November 27 and 28.
As scheduled the flight BA217 will depart LHR at 1115 and arrive in Washington at 1425 local time. The return leg BA216 will depart Washington at 1825 and arrive in London at 0620 the next day. BA had originally scheduled its Washington A380 service to start in September.
The airline first launched the A380 services on its Los Angeles route in September 2013 and now it is operating twice daily services Los Angeles, daily services to Hong Kong, and six weekly services to Johannesburg. The carrier will start three-time weekly superjumbo service to Singapore from October 28.
