An Air Canada jet airliner carrying nearly 120 passengers made an emergency landing in Anchorage Tuesday night after its oil pressure began dropping, according to an airline spokesperson.
The Boeing 787 Dreamliner took off from Vancouver, British Columbia, Tuesday afternoon en route to Narita, Japan. About 5 hours and 30 minutes after leaving Vancouver, the pilot on Flight 003 got an indicator that the oil pressure had started dropping, said Peter Fitzpatrick, Air Canada spokesperson.
There was talk of making an emergency landing in Cold Bay, but the plane ultimately landed at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport around 10:40 p.m.
