NEWS Flybe flight grounded by a bee on Southampton to Dublin journey

Flybe aircraft was forced to turn back to Southampton after a bee became stuck in one of the instruments.

Flight BE384 from Southampton to Dublin had faced two hour delay after journey was abandoned just after take off on Saturday.

Passenger Noel Rooney described the appearance of the insect on one of the aptly-named firm's aircraft as "unbeelievable."

The airline said engineers found the bee lodged in an outside instrument.

Spokewoman said: "suspected technical issue" led the return of the flight, the plane landed "without incident".

The firm has apologised for any inconvenience.
