After a turbulent turn in the US Economy and the worldwide Economy, Las Vegas's McCarran International Airport reports huge passenger growth. They have said that they have had over 4 million passengers fly in and out of the airport in July, which is an 8.8% increase compared to the same time last year.
For McCarran International Airport, it is the first time since March 2008 that the airport has hit the 4 million passenger mark in a month due to the economic recession. As well as the airport feeling the increase, so did the carriers that fly into Las Vegas. For example, on a domestic front, Delta Airlines reported an 18.9% increase in passengers flying with Delta out of Las Vegas. The International side benefitted also with Swiss carrier Edelweiss who reported a staggering 84.9% increase in Passenger numbers.
