NEWS Air India rumoured to start world's longest non-stop flight - an 18-hour journey from Bangalore to San Francisco

Air India is rumoured to begin new route linking the technology hotspots of Bangalore to San Francisco. 8,699 miles apart.

If the flight is government approved, this particular route will be the world's longest non-stop route with flight time of between 17 and 18 hours.

Current longest flight is operated by Qantas, from Dallas to Sydney. However Emirates next year will launch service from Dubai to Panama City which will become to longest route.
