EMERGENCY EasyJet flight to London lands in Istanbul over fear of fire

An EasyJet flight from Antalya to London made an emergency landing in Istanbul after passengers and staff detected a burning smell coming from the cockpit.

Shortly after taking off from Turkey’s Antalya province on Monday night, the pilots on the Airbus A320 model noticed a burning smell coming out of the cockpit, prompting them to divert the planet to Istanbul Atatürk Airport.

The passengers were evacuated to the terminal. The plane was last reported to being inspected by the Turkish Airlines technical staff.

The plane was scheduled to head to London’s Gatwick airport.
