NEWS Turkish Airlines A330 diverts following deep cut to a cabin crews hand by broken glass on Monday

Turkish Airlines TC-JNO was inflight TK50 from Istanbul to Narita, Tokyo and was about to enter the Georgian airspace when a cabin crew received a deep cut at the hand from a broken glass. The captain chose to divert to Trabzon Airport in north Turkey and landed 20 minutes later. The flight attendant was taken to hospital as the wound would need to receive stitches. It is reported the crew member received three stitches.

There was still a sufficient number of cabin crew left on the plane, it was refuelled and connoted to Narita arriving with a 2 hour delay.
